Within the framework of the agreement to establish “Zamyn Uud-Erlian Economic Cooperation Zone”, official meeting between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China was held three times and the fourth meeting held on 11-12 March 2019 in Beijing, China.
At the meeting, from Mongolian side, Mrs Sayanaa who is senior advisor of Deputy Prime Ministers’ administration led the representatives of Mongolia by the order of the Deputy Prime Minister and also Mrs.Battsetseg, Deputy director of Economic and Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia including 19 representatives of governmental organizations, a draft negotiating team with the Chinese side that the agreement to establish “Zamyn Uud-Erlian Economic Cooperation Zone” between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of People’s Republic of China, Chinese side led by Mr. Ju Bean who is deputy head of investment department of China’s Ministry of Commerce, and related representatives consist of 45 representatives totally 64 people of government agencies participated in it.
During the meeting, two sides discussed the draft of the “Agreement of the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China to establish Zamiin Uud –Erlian Economic Cooperation Zone ” by each article on the content and agreed on it . The agreement draft was successfully signed.
Objectives of the agreement proposal is “The two sides will develop a favorable environment for the development of Zamyn-Uud and Erlian economic cooperation zones in order to develop regional economic cooperation in the border areas of Mongolia and China, creating favorable conditions for production, service, trade and investment activities in cooperation zones, to develop as a benchmark cooperation zone for the friendly cooperation of China and Mongolia ”
