During his official visit to Dornogovi aimag /2021.07.30/, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Amarsaikhan got acquainted with the work process of the free zone thermal plant and instructed to urgently decide on the cost of repair work, calculate the operation cost of water supply, sewerage and the thermal plant and install it in the state budget.
In this regard, additional funding for the calibration of the test operation of the thermal plant will be provided from the Government Reserve Fund, and a working group established to conduct the test operation and start the test heating of the plant’s water heating boiler, which is planned to be commissioned in October.
In order to increase the capacity of the thermal plant, the installation of a 5MW plate heat exchanger has been completed, and the heating wells of the 1st and 2nd circuits of the plant have been inspected and repaired and relevant pipeline works have been done at the heat transfer centers and the stoves are ready to be put into operation at full capacity.
The thermal plant was built within the framework of the “Zamiin-Uud Infrastructure Improvement Project” initiated by the Governor’s Administration of the “Zamiin-Uud” Free Zone. A 90 MW thermal plant was built in Zamiin-Uud soum, 5 heat transfer centers were built in the free zone, and 7 heat re-transmission centers were built in Zamiin-Uud soum together with the relevant network.
If the thermal power plant is tested and operated at full capacity, it will not only supply heat to the Zamiin-Uud free zone, but also provide to the entire Zamiin-Uud soum.
