On December 23, 2021, the Great Hural of Mongolia adopted the “Agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on the establishing “Mongolia-China Zamiin-Uud-Erenhot Economic Cooperation Zone”.
The Prime Minister of Mongolia L. Oyun-Erdene /2022.02.03-08/ during his official visit to China handed over the proof of the ratification of the agreement and the two sides agreed to intensify industrial cooperation and jointly advance the development of the border region.
In connection with this, A Enkhzul, Governor of the Zamiin-Uud Free Zone, held a second official meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Mongolia Tsai Wenrui / February 18, 2022 / and exchanged views on establishing an environmentally friendly eco-green zone and harmonizing activities to make preparations for the implementation of this agreement.
At the end of the meeting, Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia, Tsai Wenrui expressed his full support for the realization of a free economic cooperation zone between the two countries, emphasizing the need to create green areas and parks in the “Zamiin-Uud” free zone and emphasizing that “the characteristics of the economic cooperation zone between the two countries are very important for the future of Mongolia, and economic cooperation zones are unique in that they create a new content in the economic relations between the two countries and are important as a new stage of development and a new sector,” he said.
