A working group led by A. Davaajargal, Senior Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia and Head of the Office, carried out work in the “Zamiin-Uud” Free Zone located in Zamiin-Uud, Dornogovi Province, on December 24, 2025.
Z. Boldbaatar, Governor of the Zamiin-Uud Free Zone, together with other officials, provided detailed information on the zone’s operations, current conditions, legal and regulatory environment, infrastructure, and ongoing projects. The working group was also introduced to the completed infrastructure works, including heat supply, electricity supply, water supply and sewage systems, and road construction, and exchanged views on their operational status.
During the visit, Senior Advisor A. Davaajargal inspected on site the damaged section of the heating pipeline connecting to the Zamiin-Uud Free Zone and instructed O. Tumurkhuyag, Director of the state-owned “Zamiin-Uud Thermal Power Plant,” to submit on the necessary measures to repair the damage.
In addition, the working group visited enterprises operating in the free zone, reviewed their construction and operational activities, listened to the difficulties and challenges they face, as well as their suggestions and requests, and instructed the Governor’s Office to address arising issues in a timely manner.
He emphasized that, in accordance with the intergovernmental agreement between the two countries, efforts to develop the Zamiin-Uud Free Zone into the “Zamiin-Uud–Erenhot Economic Cooperation Zone” will be intensified, and expressed that the Deputy Prime Minister and his Office are providing full support in all aspects.
