A draft law on “Amendments to the Law on Free Zones” was developed and submit it to the State Great Hural for discussion at the regular meeting of the Government of Mongolia on July 7, 2021.
The adoption of the draft law will eliminate conflicts between the provisions of the law, eliminate terminological and editorial errors, and as doing so, intensify construction of free zone and increase investment.
It was decided to provide additional funding for the thermal power plant from the Government Reserve Fund under the “Zamyn-Uud Infrastructure Improvement Project” initiated by the Governor’s administration of the “Zamiin-Uud” Free Zone.
If the thermal power plant is tested and operated at full capacity, it will not only supply heat to the Zamyn-Uud free zone, but will also supply heat to the entire Zamyn-Uud soum.
